Developed to carry heavy loads and promote stability.
Michelin has expanded its agricultural trailer tyre range with the introduction of the new MICHELIN WORKXBIB.
The new tyre for trailers and agricultural equipment is intended mainly for tipping trailers, slurry tankers, manure spreaders, and other farm equipment.
“In a sector marked by increasingly intensive road use and demanding field performance, we’ve developed the MICHELIN WORKXBIB for contractors and farmers.
“Our latest fitment has a wide range of applications from public works and civil engineering through to haulage and livestock farming.”
MICHELIN WORKXBIB supports loads of up to 6,500kg at speeds of 65km/h (40mph)*. It is a counterpart to the MICHELIN TRAILXBIB, which incorporates Michelin’s patented Ultraflex technology for low soil compaction, within the manufacturer’s trailer and agricultural equipment tyre range.
The new tyre has been engineered to better meet the demands of trailer platforms. Developed through Michelin’s innovation, it combines endurance, high load capacity and reliability for intensive road use, along with a size range tailored to current vehicles.
An innovative design for a tougher, more durable tyre
MICHELIN WORKXBIB delivers a larger footprint and offers endurance and stability on the road, even under heavy loads and at high speed thanks to a flat crown and reinforced and serrated shoulders.
With a steel-belted crown, robust carcass and bead area, and high-performance rubber compound, this new tyre offers enhanced puncture resistance. The serrated shoulders improve stability on sloping ground and the large tread blocks enable self-cleaning to reduce maintenance needs.
Thanks to this innovative design, the new tyre can deliver up to 80% longer life** than the previous generation of Michelin trailer products.
For contractors and farm owners, this means fewer stops for tyre replacement and maintenance, greater equipment availability and better controlled operating costs.
For the replacement market, the tyre is being rolled out progressively, with an initial size – 600/55 R26.5 – available from October 2026. This will be followed by three additional sizes in the second quarter of 2027: 650/55 R26.5, 600/60 R30.5, and the 560/60 R22.5.
