Partnership extended: Michelin supports
DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD 2022

12.08.2022

Michelin remains the official partner of the European car award DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD. As part of the cooperation, the tire manufacturer will be present in the media around the time of the award ceremony event on November 9 and link its core tire business with the Experience segment that flanks the Guide MICHELIN.

Driven and inspired by a shared approach to fostering innovation and progress in the mobility industry, Michelin entered the partnership in 2020 and is continuing it for the third round in 2022. The ongoing partnership is of great importance to Michelin, as innovation has been an integral part of the company’s strategy for more than 130 years. DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD will be awarded for the 46th time this fall and is considered one of the most prestigious automotive awards in Europe.

DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD has been honoring innovations in the automotive sector for nearly half a century, which is why we are pleased to continue to accompany this prestigious award as an innovation promoter

DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD is presented jointly each year by BILD am SONNTAG and the European AUTO BILD Group. A jury of experts consisting of journalists, bloggers, racing drivers and technicians selects the most important new releases in the automotive world. In a pre-selection, the readers of BILD am SONNTAG and AUTO BILD decide on three favorites in each category, which are then extensively tested by experts at the Lausitzring. At the end, the jury announces a total of eleven winners of DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD based on various evaluation criteria during the tests.

Tom Drechsler, Editor-in-Chief of AUTO BILD: “DAS GOLDENE LENKRAD is an indicator of change for an entire industry. Customers are faced with difficult decisions if they want to remain mobile. We test the innovations for them; with us, the old and new drive worlds measure themselves directly against each other. And for this, we need strong partners – like Michelin.”
