FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) Michelin confirmed as exclusive tyre supplier for the Hypercar category through 2032
- Following a tender process organised by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), Michelin has been selected to remain the exclusive tyre supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) through the end of the 2032 season.
- This decision by the governing bodies extends Michelin’s current commitment by three seasons and confirms the confidence placed in its technological expertise and ability to innovate at the highest level of endurance racing.

Michelin is pleased to announce that the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) have selected the company as the exclusive tyre supplier for the Hypercar category of the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) through the end of the 2032 season.
The decision, made following a tender process launched by the governing bodies, extends Michelin’s current contract, which was due to run through 2029, by three years.
Continuously present at the highest level of endurance racing since 1998 and having contributed to the revival of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2012, Michelin currently supplies every manufacturer competing in the Hypercar category. In a championship that brings together some of the world’s leading automotive brands, tyres play a crucial role in performance, race strategy, safety and environmental impact.
The FIA WEC serves as a powerful innovation accelerator for Michelin. The exceptional demands placed on tyres — multiple stints, extremely high loads, significant variations in weather conditions, a wide variety of race tracks and the constant pursuit of performance — help accelerate the development of technologies that can subsequently be applied to tyres for production vehicles.
For several years, Michelin has also used endurance racing as a laboratory for more sustainable mobility. The new 2026 MICHELIN Pilot Sport Endurance range, currently used in both the FIA WEC and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, incorporates 50% renewable and recycled materials in its slick tyres. This major step forward highlights motorsport’s ability to foster the development of tangible solutions for mobility that makes more responsible use of resources, without compromising performance or any aspect of the tyre’s life cycle.
The extension of this partnership will provide Michelin with an ideal platform to continue driving this innovation alongside the FIA, the ACO and all manufacturers competing in the Hypercar category.
