BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 sets standards in the off-road market: more robust and durable in any terrain

15.10.2025

BFGoodrich launches its new All-Terrain T/A KO3 tyre in Europe: legendary toughness, now even stronger. The launch is a proof of technical advancement and a response to the expectations of an increasingly demanding community of drivers. Whether on roads, mountains, snow, mud, or sand, the All-Terrain T/A KO3 is designed to offer confidence and freedom to all those seeking versatility and endurance.

Real all-rounders
The 4x4 market is currently undergoing a transformation in Europe. The supply of purely off-road vehicles is shrinking, while the existing fleet is ageing. Owners now keep their 4x4s for an average of 12.4 years, compared to 8.4 years in 2000. Yet the off-roading culture remains very much alive. In the dual world between pure off-roading and exploration the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tyres clearly stand out. True Swiss-army knives, they combine road comfort and safety with unmatched off-road capabilities.

More traction and better handling
Developed to outperform its predecessor, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 offers improved traction1 and handling2 on all surfaces and in all weather conditions. Its fully redesigned tread maximises grip, even in extreme situations. The notched “rack” shoulders, combined with Mud-Phobic bars, allow rapid and efficient evacuation of mud and snow, ensuring constant traction on rough or slippery terrain. This new design earned the 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) certification, a true guarantee of winter performance and a differentiating factor on the market.

Designed for longevity

With the KO3, BFGoodrich once again pushes the limits of durability, offering a 15% longer lifespan3 compared to its predecessor, the KO2. Thanks to a new all-terrain rubber formulation, more resistant to daily wear and extreme stresses, this tyre is designed to endure the miles. Contact patch optimisation ensures more even tread wear, guaranteeing performance over time. The 3D self-locking sipes, now present across the entire tread depth, improve tyre stability while extending lifespan, even on abrasive terrain.

Withstands the toughest conditions
The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 is 20% tougher4 than its predecessor KO2, thanks to competition-derived technology. CoreGard technology has been reinforced: extra rubber extends further over the shoulder and upper sidewall, effectively protecting this critical area from impacts and external damage. Additionally, a rubber compound directly derived from the famous Baja T/A KR3 race tyre, known for resistance to cuts and impacts, is used. This combination allows the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 to perform reliably in the most extreme conditions, from rocky deserts to rough forest tracks.

Off-road design reflects origins
Beyond performance, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 also takes care of style. Its design has been redesigned to reflect its off-road heritage and competitive DNA. It proudly features the new Baja Champion logo, a nod to the brand’s expertise in the world’s toughest races. The marking has also been updated for better readability, with a broader range of tyres with iconic white markings, available in 63 dimensions. A styling detail that appeals to both 4x4 purists and overlanding enthusiasts seeking a bold look. For those who prefer a more understated look, the symmetrical profile allows easy black sidewall use by simply reversing the tyre on the rim.

The European launch began in March 2025, with 37 sizes available in the first year, covering 80% of the Top 10 best-selling off-road vehicles in Europe. The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 will coexist with the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 until 2027, allowing users to choose the solution that best suits their needs.
